Jack suddenly remembered that he has another son, that he was once married to said son’s mother, and that said son’s mother had a father. Who might be the one texting him? A 100-year-old man from Vietnam is texting Jack secretly? Yeah, he might want to rethink that possibility.
This plot feels convoluted and sloppy. Why would Ashland have been faking symptoms when he was alone, and no one could see? That’s likely because the writers initially planned for Ash to be a short arc character who died. Now, they’ve changed course and replaced Richard Burgi with Robert Newman.
So, what’s the endgame for Ash that Young and the Restless spoilers reveal? No doubt, it’s about stealing Newman Inc from Victor. Why? Revenge, of course. Recall, Ashland was in cardiac arrest when The Mustache withheld medical care. He only called 911 after Ash signed the documents to sell Cyaxeres Media. That was a real medical crisis.
