The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, August 24, 2022, pick up with Adam Newman making it clear why it would benefit Kevin Fisher to work with him against Victor Newman, just as Adam’s pop is explaining to Chance Chancellor why it would benefit him to work, well, for Victor Newman. And while that’s going on, the other Newman player in this web, Nicholas Newman, decides to enjoy what he has.
Adam knows the truth about what really happened to Ashland Locke. Victor told him, smug in the knowledge that there is nothing Adam can do with the information to hurt Victor, now that Victor’s man on the Genoa City Police Force – i.e. his son-in-law – has closed the case.
But you know who else is suspicious of Victor? Kevin. He wanted to work with Chance. Adam wants Kevin to work with him. And Adam can be very persuasive. Did we say persuasive? We meant threatening. He makes Kevin an offer he can’t – or, at least, shouldn’t – refuse.
Victor, meanwhile, needs to make certain that Chance will go on keeping his mouth shut. Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor’s visit made The Mustache a little on edge. So he needs Chance to confirm his loyalty to the clan. Has Victor never heard of quitting while you’re ahead?
