The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday, August 23, 2022, prove that Ashland Locke is still affecting life in Genoa City, as Nikki Newman worries about Victoria Newman staying sane after what happened with Ashland, Victor Newman worries that Chance Chancellor will change his mind about what happened with Ashland, and Lily Winters gives Billy Abbott an ultimatum…with Ashland lurking in the background.
Victoria insists she’s totally fine now that Ashland is dead, and Chance isn’t digging into what actually happened the night he bit the big one. But mother’s intuition is telling Nikki that her daughter isn’t nearly as carefree as she’s pretending to be. So Nikki’s plan is to browbeat Victoria about feeling terrible until she actually feels terrible. Mother knows best!
Abby Newman Chancellor saw how despondent Chance was about dropping his suspicions regarding Ashland’s death, and she apologized for forcing him to buckle under her family’s pressure. That’s all Chance needed to hear to go back to Victor with a few more questions.
Victor, however, is in a no-backsies kind of mood. Wasn’t double jeopardy in play or something? Once Chance said he didn’t think Victor had anything to do with Ashland’s death, isn’t it against the law for him to never bring it up again? And, if he does, why does he think Victor would tell him anything different from last time?
