The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, October 21, 2022, are a hot-bed of secrets as Nikki Newman realizes you don’t send an Ashley Abbott to do the job you really want to do, Phyllis Summers blabs to Lauren Fenmore Baldwin.
Kyle Abbott and Summer Newman Abbott prepare to jet off on their tropical honeymoon…just as his mom is confessing a secret of her own to Kyle’s dad. Nikki was all gung-ho for Ashley to get close to Tucker McCall and charm him into spilling all his secrets. At least the Diane Jenkins -based ones.
But then, after a chat with an internationally recognized reporter who seems hell-bent on writing a story about a woman nobody knows — or cares — about, Nikki decided she could do a better job of worming the truth out of him. So Nikki calls a meeting with Tucker. During which she thinks she’s ever so smart. And Tucker looks amused that she thinks so.
That Phyllis has the emotional maturity of a toddler, we all already know. She yells, she shrieks, she pounds her fists along her chest, and she cannot stop herself from expressing any thought which flits into her conscience.
So is it any surprise that she can’t keep secrets, either? Phyllis can’t wait to tell Lauren what she’s learned about Diane. But is she sure that Lauren won’t tell Michael Baldwin…who will then bring the story right back to the woman of the hour?
Kyle and Summer have been working tirelessly for weeks now. They deserve a vacation. Self-care is so important for the young and stressed executive set. So they’re off to the tropics! Will Diane’s confession to Jack Abbott be the thing that derails their dreams of sun and sand?

With Elena Dawson leaving him and everyone worried Brytni Sarpy’s leaving The Young and the Restless, Nate is a top choice as Audra’s first lover in town. Then again, Nate’s cousin Devon Hamilton is also in her orbit.
