Kyle refuses to listen. Separating a child from its mother is the worst thing anyone can do. His wife Summer Newman Abbott would surely agree. She was taught by her own loving, saintly mother that keeping a child from its parent is evil! (But lying about his paternity as Phyllis Summers did with her son, Daniel, is totes OK!)
Nikki Newman has new responsibilities working alongside her daughter. Victor magnanimously allows it. He all but gives Nikki a little pat on the head along with his blessing. Because he’s one of those progressive men, who allows his wife to have a life of her own, as long as she runs it by him first.
Now that Ashland Locke is out as co-CEO of Newman/Locke there is a power void that must be filled. Victor Newman believes Victoria Newman is still too weak to handle the position independently. So he suggests that Adam Newman take the job.
He has been serving as the temporary CEO while Victoria has been dealing with her horrible ex-husband. Now, it is time to fill that void. But Victoria has other ideas. She does not want him as her right-hand man as show in The Young and the Restless prior episodes.
