Michael Baldwin officially resigns his position as District Attorney for Genoa City. He is excited to begin working for Victor. Michael’s first task involves delving into Ashland’s health condition. The Mustache is suspicious of his son-in-law’s miraculous recovery from advanced lung cancer.
When Victoria Newman agreed to marry Ash, they thought his days were numbered. He was showing signs of his illness. So, the pair moved forward with their courtship. Now Victor got worried that it was all a scam planned by her new hubby on Young and the Restless. Ashland’s in a position to double-cross the Newman family.
So, he has the power to take over Newman/Locke slowly. Y&R news shows he attempted to bring one of his own men into a power position within the company. But his plan got foiled by Nikki Newman. However, it did raise a red flag. What was her son-in-law trying to do with this power move? He acted nonchalant when Victoria shut him down. But it did hint at what Ash’s end game may be on Young and the Restless..
