Nate was happy to be Ashland’s doctor, and he was happy to be Ashland’s friend. Especially when both positions came with a free trip to Tuscany. He was even happy to accept a job from his patient and friend. There might be a lot more free trips to Tuscany where that came from!
But then Nate learned that Ashland might have been faking his cancer. How Nate never noticed that before — did he not ask to see a single X-ray or blood test result? Does he always accept a patient’s diagnosis on the honor system? — is beyond us.
But now it’s time for Nate to notice that when you don’t do things his way, his patient and friend becomes a lot less friendly…and much less patient.
Jack Abbott is willing to play the long game in getting to know his newfound granddaughter, Allie, and find out who it was that texted him to come to Los Angeles. Phyllis is a lot less sanguine. And she has a plan!
