When Victor asked Michael to come work for him now that Michael has retired from the District Attorney’s office, Michael’s first stipulation was that the hours would be reasonable, and he wouldn’t be at Victor’s beck and call 24/7. Sure, sure, Victor promised magnanimously, he is a wonderful employer, ask anyone.
Which is why Victor is perfectly fine with asking Michael to do some digging into his new son-in-law and what Ashland Locke and Victoria have planned for Victor and Adam Newman’s media company. Feel free to do it during regular business hours, of course. Just get it done. Yesterday.
Viewers know what Ashland and Victoria are planning. They are planning to make Adam fail so miserably at running Newman Media that Victor will be begging the Lockes to swoop in and buy his failing company out from under him – at pennies on the dollar, to boot. And they are about to put Step One into effect. God, they love being bad together!
