The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, January 17, 2022, puts the Newmans front and center, as Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor lets Devon Hamilton have it for daring to question her parenting, Victoria Newman Locke goes head to head with Adam Newman about who Daddy really loves best…er, who’s the better businessperson.
Victor Newman doesn’t think enough people are venerating him. He has a plan to change that. Devon finally said the words out loud and told Abby and Chance Chancellor that he doesn’t just want legal visitation like he first floated. No, now he wants flat-out joint custody of Dominic.
Abby sobs that it’s because he doesn’t think she and Chance are good enough parents for Devon’s flesh and blood. Devon agrees. And adds that he is worried about Chance’s mental state. After what Abby’s husband confessed to him – which Abby knew nothing about – Devon is afraid Chance’s PTSD could negatively affect Dominic. Way to say thank you for your service!
Victoria lied to Victor about Adam to make her little brother look bad. Victor bought it. And, Adam is not pleased. He tries to put on a brave front with Victoria, reminding her that Victor bought him a shiny media company to play with, not her.
