The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, August 19, 2022, close off the week with a series of fantasies. First, Diane Jenkins literally dreams of a future with her grandson, son…and her son’s father.
Then, Nicholas Newman is dreaming if he thinks Victor Newman will forgive his coming clean about what happened to Ashland Locke, while Adam Newman is equally deluded if he thinks that same Victor won’t come after him for working against the family.
A girl can dream…can’t she? And Diane didn’t track down Keemo Nguyen, manipulate Allie Nguyen, send Jack Abbott secret texts and prostrate herself before not just Kyle Abbott but his wife and mother-in-law, too, all for an entry-level marketing job and the chance to babysit Harrison Locke when nobody else feels like it.
No, we suspect Diane did all that so she can worm her way back into Jack’s life. So why not fantasize about it? Nick is the sensitive sort. He doesn’t like keeping secrets. He’s also not particularly good at it. He has one of those things his father long had cut out — a conscience.
Which means Victor won’t have any trouble berating his son for acting on his and telling the truth about what he knows regarding Ashland’s death. And while Nick agonizes over going against Daddy, Adam is looking for any opportunity to stick it to Victor.
